Followed Mr. Lay to Rawang for the double-storey terrace house's site meeting.

Ir. Ng Keng Keong gave us some information and knowledge about how a swimming pool functions from pump house to the pool and back to the pump house through the balancing tank and sand filtration system.

Read about the pumps used in a swimming pool system.

Leakage problem occured at Tropicana Golf  & Country Resort's swimming pool where ponding of water can be seen when the pump is turned on.

Ir. Ng Keng Keong then requested us to study on the pipeline layout plan and to colour the pipes with different colours to show how the pipe is connected to each other.

Prepared a reporyt for the pump house visit last Wednesday at Taman Saujana Hijau, Prescint 11, Putrajaya.

Read and study about the pumps used for irrigation purposes from Grundfos Catologue

Did colouring and folding for a project submission.

Studied the temporary earth drain (TED) design calculation report done by Mr. Law.

Followed Ir. Ng Keng Keong to check on the leaking problem that occured in the pump house at Taman Saujana HIjau in Prescint 11, Putrajaya.

~17th May - 18th May 2010~

Helped Mr. Law to doublecheck any errors in the structural drawings for the draughter to do correction on it before printing to the actual size of paper required (A1) size for tender drawing.

Do exercise using Hazen-William formula to determine the nominal diameter swize to be used for the water supply pipe for Bandar Sri Damansara.

Edited the water demand computation requested by Ir. Lim Guan Hock.

Assisted Mr. Lay in checking of the column schedule for the double-storey terrace house project.

Went to 3 landfill site - Pajam, Bukit Palong and Sua Betong, all which are located in Negri Sembilan together with 2 engineers.

~10th May - 11th May 2010~

Calculated the water demand for Bandar Sri Damansara of each zone - High Zone, Medium Zone and Low Zone and typed it out in a table format

~7th May 2010~

Calculated the water demand for Bandar Sri Damansara's Medium Zone today.

~6th May 2010~

Prepared a simplified 2 page report for the apron's settlement for easier and more convenient way to identify the critical locations whereby the settlement increases every fortnight based on the survey settlement report.

~5th May 2010~

Was given a book of report for the fortnight settlement readings of Penang International Airport's apron

We were requested to identify the location of the readings taken. There are a total of N locations where every fortnight the surveyor will take the settlement reading for a duration of 6 months.

~3rd May - 4th May 2010~

Drew the cross-section of the detention pond using the levels surveyed by the surveyor and the proposed level on the same sheet of paper so as to able to calculate the volume of cut/fill.

Ir. Ng Keng Keong shared some knowledge about civil engineers and the society based on his experiences of being an engineer.
